These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Dropwords website and your participation in our competitions and courses. By using the website or taking part in our programmes, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. About Dropwords
Dropwords is a creative community platform for poets, writers, and storytellers, based in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. We run poetry competitions, offer poetry courses, and publish creative work by our community.
2. Eligibility
Our website and programmes are open to creative people of all backgrounds. Participants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By taking part, you confirm that the information you give us is accurate.
3. Use of the Website
You agree to use the website lawfully and respectfully. You may not misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, post unlawful or harmful content, or infringe the rights of others.
4. Competitions
Participation in the Dropwords Poetry Challenge and any other competition is also governed by our Competition Rules & Fair Play, which form part of these Terms.
5. Intellectual Property & Your Work
You keep ownership of your work
You retain full copyright and ownership of every poem and piece of creative work you submit to Dropwords. We never claim authorship of your work.
By submitting work to a competition or for publication, you grant Dropwords a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, display, and share that work — always with clear credit to you — on the Dropwords website and our official social media channels, for the purpose of running and promoting our programmes. You may ask us to remove your published work at any time by emailing us.
You confirm that any work you submit is your own original creation and does not infringe anyone else's rights.
The Dropwords name, logo, website design, course materials, and original content are the property of Dropwords and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.
6. Prizes & Payments
Competition prizes, the amounts, and how and when they are paid are described in our Competition Rules & Fair Play. Course fees, if any, will be clearly stated at the time of enrolment.
7. Refunds
Competition entry is free, so no entry-fee refunds apply. For paid courses, any refund or cancellation terms will be communicated to you in writing at the time of enrolment. For refund queries, contact connect@dropwords.in.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The website and our services are provided "as is". While we work hard to run our programmes fairly and reliably, Dropwords is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website or participation in our programmes, to the extent permitted by law.
9. Third-Party Services
We use and link to third-party platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, and Google Forms. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or availability of those platforms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nagpur, Maharashtra.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision. Continued use of the website after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
